Johnny Cash Roadshow
8 December 
The UK’s No 1 celebration of Johnny Cash, fronted by award winning singer/songwriter Clive John, re-creates with astounding accuracy and truly captures the essence of what it was like to be at a real Cash show! Also featuring the Carter Sisters along with the ‘JC Horns’ - all aspects of Cash’s life are covered with impeccable taste. The show takes the audience from the 1950’s right up to 2002 and all the stops in between. All this accompanied by evocative screen images and shots from Johnny Cash’s life.

Peter Pan - Panto
17 December - 29 January 
Yorkshire’s best-loved comedian Billy Pearce, in his 18th Alhambra Theatre pantomime, leads the cast of the family pantomime which promises dastardly pirates, a high-flying hero and a barrel full of laughter.  Billy, who will play the role of Smee, is joined by actor, singer and television presenter Darren Day who will play the dastardly Captain Hook. Emmerdale favourite Charlie Hardwick is the Magical Mermaid, guiding the high-flying hero Peter Pan played by S Club 7's Jon Lee. 

Santa Trap
18 - 19 December
Will Santa be able to escape this awful ambush? Will Bradley succeed in ruining Christmas? Will someone explain why an elephant is roaming around the garden? With guillotines, tigers and a houseful of dynamite, young audiences will adore this action-packed, explosively funny new musical show!

Mary Stuart
2 December – 21 January
Two queens. One in power. One in prison. It's all in the execution.
Schiller's political tragedy takes us behind the scenes of some of British history's most crucial days. Playing both Elizabeth I and Mary Stuart, Juliet Stevenson (Duet for One) and Lia Williams (Oresteia) trade the play's central roles, decided at each performance by the toss of a coin. Adapted and directed by Almeida Associate Director Robert Icke.

Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs
9 December - 2 January
Another spectacular family pantomime for Christmas  2016!

Who can save the magic of Christmas?
Fairy Flossy's wand has stopped working, Cinderella's glass slipper is broken and what has happened to the magic in Aladdin's lamp? Christmas might have to be cancelled...

Adventure to Oz
23 November – 7 January
Chickenshed’s dazzling Christmas production.  The world premiere of a fantastical new musical, based  on the much-loved and wonderful Oz stories of L. Frank Baum - Adventure to Oz! Join familiar characters such as Dorothy, the Scarecrow and the Tin Man, and be introduced to new loveable and memorable characters such as the incredible Patchwork Girl and Ojo the Unlucky Munchkin. Travel with us along the famous Yellow Brick Road with a brave band of friends on a quest to release Ojo’s Uncle from an enchantment that has turned him to stone.

Christmas Tales on Tour
30 November – 30 December 
Christmas Tales is an amazingly fun and festive show from the creative team behind Chickenshed’s hugely popular Tales from the Shed. This show is a full-on family Talesomime (a pantomime starring all the favourite Tales characters) and it’s going to be high energy, interactive and brilliantly entertaining... Oh no, it’s not! Oh yes, it is! So bring your little ones to Christmas Tales this festive season and Can-Can, The Thing That Goes Blurgh and the Tales team will be right ‘behind you’!

After October
22 November - 22 December
The first Central London production in eighty years of Rodney Ackland’s After October, directed by Oscar Toeman. Hampstead, 1936. In a shabby basement flat, aspiring playwright Clive Monkhams dreams of a West End hit and winning Francie’s heart. His bankrupt mother Rhoda, a faded actress, frets about the bills and the fortunes of her penniless daughters while reminiscing about her glory days. Clive’s family and an entourage of bohemian dependants all need him to make it big. With opening night approaching and finances fast running out, everything rides on the success of the play...

Dr Angelus
until 20 December
The first English production in nearly 70 years of Dr Angelus by James Bridie, directed by Jenny Ogilvie. Glasgow, 1920. Earnest young doctor George Johnson has just been made partner in the medical practice of his eccentric senior colleague Dr Angelus. It seems like the perfect start to his career. When Dr Angelus’ treatment of his own mother-in-law results in her death, George remains fiercely loyal to his mentor. But as suspicions of murder multiply and the true nature of his partner is revealed, he finds himself caught in a web of deceit…

Roy Orbison And Friends With Barry Steele
1 December 
This musical and semi-autobiographical celebration of The Big O’s musical legacy is quite simply unmissable, as Barry Steele takes you on this specially revamped musical journey in time, from the early sun years right through to the late 80’s and The Travelling Wilburys. Add to the mix star our fabulous musicians and singers celebrating the music from legends Roy shared centre stage with.

New Year's Eve Gala Concert
31 December 
A fantastic Concert to welcome in the new year at the Fabulous Floral Pavilion Theatre.
The Ever Popular British Philharmonic Concert Orchestra (Last Night of the Proms & Viennese Strauss Christmas) will celebrate New Year in style with a show containing music from Opera, Ballet, Film, Operetta, Gilbert and Sullivan, The Musicals, ‘West End’, as well as classical and fun numbers for all the family. Culminating at Midnight with a rousing sing-along new year, arms linked and Auld Lang Syne for all the audience to join in with.

Peter Pan
18 November – 8 January 
Greenwich pantomime favourite Andrew Pollard is reunited with unforgettable villain Anthony Spargo, last seen as Count Fracula in Red Riding Hood, for our most ambitious high-flying pantomime to date! Come fly with us to Neverland where Peter Pan and Hook are once again locked into battle, where the ticking of a clock might just strike fear into the heart of a pirate, and where children never grow up! 

Comedy Club 4 Kids
17 December
Yet again the best comedians from the UK and world circuit head to Greenwich to do what they do best… but without the rude bits! Cracking entertainment for everyone over six years old and under 400 years old (no vampires or Highlanders).

Live Canon’s Christmas
19 December
Live Canon, the company renowned for their live performances of poetry from the classical canon and beyond, return to Greenwich for a unique festive fundraiser. Live Canon’s finest performers bring to life a host of festive favourites from Robert Louis Stevenson, Anne Bronte, Christina Rossetti, Thomas Hardy and more, together with a sprinkling of carols and a warming dose of mulled wine, with all proceeds spilt between Live Canon’s children’s projects and Greenwich Theatre’s building improvement campaign.

Beauty and The Beast
3 December- 4 January

Santa’s Rusty Robot
16 - 24 December
After their huge success at the Playhouse last year, Santa, Ellie and Rudolph return for another brilliant show this Christmas. Santa’s building a robot as a gift, but it’s been left out in the snow and has rusted up. With the help of audiences, Santa and Ellie attempt to bring it back to full working order, but can it be done?
Santa’s Rusty Robot is a show packed with fun, songs, Christmas cheer and lots of audience interaction- a perfect way for younger children to enjoy live theatre. There’s also the chance to meet Santa and receive a special gift!
Performance running time approximately 40 minutes, plus Santa meet and greet.
Suitable for children aged 2 to 6 year olds and the families, pre-schools and nurseries.

A Christmas Treasure Island
2 December – 7 January
Shiver me Timbers! Join us for an adventure of a lifetime…
On a stormy beach at Withernsea young Jem Hawkins and her Uncle David discover a treasure map. With the help of Long John Silver and his band of pirates they set sail in search of gold, but are betrayed before they reach the islands of the frozen north. Jem must find her courage to escape the treacherous crew, survive the storms and find the treasure. Will she make it home again, or join the marooned Ben Gunn on the island forever?

NT live: No Man’s Land
20 Dec
Following their hit run on Broadway, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart return to the West End stage in Harold Pinter’s No Man's Land, broadcast live to cinemas from Wyndham’s Theatre, London.
One summer's evening, two ageing writers, Hirst and Spooner, meet in a Hampstead pub and continue their drinking into the night at Hirst's stately house nearby. As the pair become increasingly inebriated, and their stories increasingly unbelievable, the lively conversation soon turns into a revealing power game, further complicated by the return home of two sinister younger men.

Purdy returns to the Kenton after enjoying the release of her debut album 'Diamond in the Dust’ created with Grammy award winning producer Andy Wright. She has written songs like black & white movies with a rustic romantic backdrop. Her voice is intimate, unexpectedly deep with all the playful swagger and appeal of a new age femme fatale.
Following release of her album, Purdy went on to support Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra on his UK Tour. This included appearances at the Royal Albert Hall which gave rise to sensational reviews. Sam Brown's International Ukulele Club Of Sonning Common. Back for the third time, due to popular demand, Sam Brown’s International Ukulele Club of Sonning Common returns to the Kenton stage this December with another selection of songs from across the ages and genres. With the hugely entertaining Miss Brown at the helm, the IUCSC has delighted audiences at festivals and events across the country, recorded on Joe Brown’s Ukulele Album, performed on radio and TV and even took their unique brand of entertainment across the channel to Paris.

Mozart By Candlelight
4 December
From the Producers of A Viennese Strauss Gala, this sumptuous fully costumed show immerses us in the wonderful music and the classical baroque world of one of the world's greatest romantic composers - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The Snow Queen

Hansel And Gretel

Fantastic Mr Fox

Seann Walsh: One for the Road

Chinese State Circus
3 December

Royal Marines Christmas Concert
4 December
The Royal Marines Band will return to Princess Theatre, Torquay for a Christmas Spectacular on Sunday 4th December 2016 and this year the band are pulling out all the stops to start Christmas early with a bang. During this special festive event, the band will perform Christmas music, military marches, big band hits and popular showstoppers. In addition, their Corps of Drums will demonstrate the precision, accuracy and musical skills for which they are well respected across the globe. Also expect some special seasonal surprises as this popular event comes to town.

9 December – 1 January 
Cinderella is making its way to the Princess Theatre from 9th December to the 1st January with an all starring cast! Local boy Luke Friend (X Factor) is here to make his panto debut as the handsome Prince showing off his vocal talents. We have the return of the hilarious, lovable Aiden J Harvey and this year we welcome Tom Owen (Last of the Summer Wine) as ‘Baron hard- up. In addition, joining the Torquay Pantomime team is the wonderful Anita Harris (Carry On), whose friendly face is back doing pantomime once again, at the Princess Theatre.

3 December – 14 January
The most of enchanting pantomime of them all! All ages are invited to join Cinderella on a magical adventure from rags to riches as her Fairy Godmother transforms her into a dazzling beauty. There’s no more scrubbing for Cinders, she’s off to the ball! There’ll be magic, mayhem and comedy capers from everyone’s favourite characters. Maddy Prior And The Carnival Band – Carols And Capers
4 December
A unique celebratory show of Christmas music on renaissance, modern and ethnic instruments featuring the wonderful vocals of Maddy Prior performing with the Carnival Band. Together they put their stamp on a diverse range of Christmas music for a party to remember.

Carols By Candlelight
18 December
In an evocative candlelit setting, the internationally renowned Locrian Ensemble with star soprano Jill Washington usher in the festive season with familiar carols, favourites like White Christmas and Walking in the Air as  well as songs from Handel’s Messiah and seasonal surprises.

The Emperor’s New Clothes / Dillad Newydd yr Ymerawdwr
5 – 31 December
Have you ever lost something? A toy? A tooth? A memory? What if, one day, you lost all of your 'silly'?
When the Emperor demands the coolest clothes to help him be, well, 'cool'... The call is answered by a pair of wily Weavers, who concoct a cunning plan and land everyone in an embarrassing situation. 

Sherman Theatre and Theatr Iolo present The Emperor's New Clothes / Dillad Newydd yr Ymerawdwr - a reimagining of the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale. Written by award-winning playwright Alun Saunders, with songs and live music.
For 3 - 6 year olds and their families.

The Borrowers
25 November – 31 December
This Christmas the Sherman takes you on another musical family adventure with The Borrowers. Discover the secret world of Pod, Homily and Arrietty, whose lives are turned upside down by a dangerous encounter ‘above the floorboards’. Size doesn’t stop this little family with a big heart. Hide from the ‘Human Beans’, battle with wasps and go on a magical journey that shows the littlest of people can make a big difference. Following the sell-out success of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in 2015, this year another family classic will be brought to life with the Sherman’s Christmas sparkle.

Sleeping Beauty
2 December – 8 January
The producers of Peter Pan will return to Sevenoaks for an eighth record breaking panto season, with the spectacular family pantomime, Sleeping Beauty! This year EastEnders' Fat Boy, Ricky Norwood, stars alongside 90's pop sister act Cleopatra, who will be reforming to play Sleeping Beauty's panto fairies. Sevenoaks Panto regulars Jasette Amos, Peter Brad Leigh and Richard Tate also star.
Featuring a live band, stunning sets and costumes, a star cast, and all the usual laughs and traditions that the Sevenoaks Panto audiences have come to know and love!

Rat Pack at Christmas
19 December
The Rat Pack, the original purveyors of cool, swing into town this Christmas with some of the greatest music of the 20th Century, and wonderful memories of classic Las Vegas - Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis-Junior. Every song a winner - Come Fly with Me, Volare, That's Amore, Under My Skin, Mr Bojangles, Sway, Mack The Knife and many more of your "Cool Yule" favourites.

Pat-A-Cake Baby
3 December
Are you ready? Grab a spoon! Because it's Pat-a-cake time! Pitter-patter – get the butter! Glitzy-glossy – whisk in sugar! Jokey-yolky – add the eggs! Long Nose Puppets offer up a marvellous moonlit show full of riotous rhyme, zany puppets and spiffy special cake; all iced with music and songs by Tom Gray. Little children will feel stuffed to the brim with magic.'Cake mixing, baking and eating fuel this zingy, high-energy story as a restless baby sets about a night-time adventure.’ Guardian.  Pat-a-Cake Baby is based on the book written by Joyce Dunbar and illustrated by Polly Dunbar.

Million Dollar Quartet
28 November – 3 December
This worldwide smash-hit musical, starring Jason Donavon, is inspired by the famous recording session that brought together rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. On December 4, 1956, these four star musicians gathered at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever. Million Dollar Quartet brings that legendary night to life!

10 December – 8 January
This Christmas, the most magical pantomime of all, Cinderella comes to Bristol – and it’s going to be even bigger and more spectacular than ever as national icons Torvill & Dean take to the stage as the Fairy Godparents performing jaw-dropping off-ice skating sequences. The Snow Queen

This year’s Courtyard Children’s Christmas Show is The Snow Queen! A magical and fun show inspired by the fairy tale written by Hans Christian Andersen (that also happened to inspire Disney’s Frozen!).
An evil mirror breaks into thousands of pieces and a part of it lands in Kay’s heart, threatening to turn it into a lump of ice! A piece also lands in his eye, making him aware of all of the world’s imperfections. Will Gerda be able to save her brother? Follow Kay and Gerda on their extraordinary adventure and meet many different characters along the way, including the Snow Queen herself and a best-loved nursery rhyme character! For more than 40 years Martin Carthy has been one of folk music’s greatest innovators, one of its best loved, most enthusiastic and, at times, most quietly controversial of figures. His skill, stage presence and natural charm have won him many admirers, not only from within the folk scene, but also far beyond it.
He’s a ballad singer, a ground-breaking acoustic and electric-guitarist and an authoritative interpreter of newly composed material. He always prefers to follow an insatiable musical curiosity rather than cash in on his unrivalled position. Perhaps, most significant of all, are his settings of traditional songs with guitar, which have influenced a generation of artists, including Bob Dylan and Paul Simon, on both sides of the Atlantic.

A Christmas Carol was the first public performance Charles Dickens gave of his own work. He enacted it over 150 times and the effect on the public was phenomenal. ‘The success was most wonderful and prodigious – perfectly overwhelming and astounding altogether!’ he said after the first night.

Hannah And Hanna In Dreamland

When Hanna from Kosovo met Hannah from Margate, their love of pop music brought them together, despite their different cultures and circumstances. Hannah and Hanna, which premiered at Theatre Royal Margate in 2001 went on to become a global hit. Jason Singh
13 December
Jason Singh is a musician, composer, beat boxer, sound artist, producer and performer.  He works across all art forms and his work is an on-going exploration and collaboration between the voice, body and music technology.  Singh collaborates with a wide variety of organisations – he has been artist in residence at the Victoria and Albert Museum and in 2017 he will be resident artist in Hull as part of the Hull 2017 City of Culture and PRS New Music Biennial. Jason will be creating an “all vocal” sound environment in the Dark Dark Wood that is based on the fantastical and imaginary strange forestry world of creatures and textures.

Halifax Choral Society: Carols & Brass
1 December
Start your festive preparations right with a seasonal evening of music, fun and laughter from the Halifax Choral Society. The society has been around since 1817, and for this performance of popular Christmas music they’ll be joined by the world famous Black Dyke Band. Santa’s Polka Dot Pirate is a fun packed festive experience for children aged 2-6. The Mischief Before Christmas

Once upon a time there were two rather mischievous Christmas spirits. They would travel the land with a twinkle in their eye, looking for a place to tell their stories – the perfect place, just right for a little mischief, a sprinkling of Christmas magic and a huge dollop of fun. This interactive adventure is bursting with festive spirit, life-size puppets, an elf named Frank and a girl called Sophie. Back by popular demand, The Guild Of Misrule present their immersive production of The Great Gatsby. Be plunged in to a world of red hot jazz, bootleg liquor and more than a little scandal. Expect music, cocktails, dancing and debauchery in this radical adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s seminal jazz age tale. 1920s dress encouraged.
