Built in 1926, our Pavilion Theatre is almost 100 years old. Its history and location is what makes it so special, and invites audiences to experience theatre in a unique and picturesque venue.

The Pavilion is located on the promenade at the entrance to Worthing Pier; perfectly central in the town but with the backdrop of the sea. This is particularly impressive when viewed from the Atrium, the venue’s glass-walled room to the west of the main auditorium, which hosts a number of events from small scale shows to quizzes, workshops to social events, and is popular for its gorgeous views and well-stocked bar.

The main house of the theatre boasts the location for many of WTM’s larger scale performances, including our annual pantomime. While theatre is our main forte, the Pavilion hosts a diverse programme of events, including dance, circus, and music.

The distinctive fishbowl shape of the theatre gives it an air of individuality and regal elegance. Despite the historic feel of the building, the Pavilion Theatre is accessible and inclusive. It’s right opposite the main bus stop for all routes in Worthing, and is just a mile away from Worthing Train Station.
