Located in the south-west end of Epsom town centre, the Epsom Playhouse was part of a redevelopment which began in the early 1980s, with the theatre opening in 1984. The venue proudly hosts international travelling companies and comedians and has a vibrant and diverse programme of events comprising both professional and community productions.

The main auditorium regularly plays host to productions from major theatrical companies. It is also home to popular children's shows, and proudly presents pre-Christmas and Twelve Days of Christmas pantomimes of classic remakes, such as Peter Pan and Snow White.

The Myers Studio within the Playhouse is a secondary performance space which has a capacity of up to 80 people and is used regularly as a venue for professional productions and community events. The Epsom Playhouse also hosts its own well-attended Studio Jazz evenings, which is a catalogue of jazz numbers presented by the best music artists in the area. As part of the venue’s 25th anniversary, a one-off production of Smokey Joe’s Café (a show which formed one of the longest-running musical revues to be performed on Broadway) was commissioned.
