Antigone

The battle has been won; the soldiers have returned victorious and the dead have been
buried. But not all of them. Antigone’s brother has been deemed a traitor and must be
punished, even in death.

Filled with rage and a powerful sense of justice, Antigone takes matters into her own
hands, while her little sister Ismene watches on, torn between loyalty and common sense.
The war may be over, but Antigone is ready to start a fight. No matter how devastating
the consequences.

Stripped back to an intimate two-hander, Sophocles’ classic tragedy is brought to vivid,
contemporary life by playwright Lulu Raczka in a messy, modern-day tale of two sisters battling the establishment, battling each other and facing the ultimate tragedy of having to grow up.
