Original founding member of The Housemartins, returns to the stage with his band The VIPs to perform music inspired by the era that produced ‘London 0 Hull 4’, one of the most important debut albums of the UK indie movement.
This is not a tribute — this is one of the musicians who helped build the band from the ground up, performing those songs up close at Trinity Arts Centre, marking 41 years since The Housemartins signed their record deal. This performance celebrates the origins of one of Britain’s most influential indie bands, led by Ted Key, one of The Housemartins’ original and founding members.
