You killed a whale
The Whale killed itself
Girl’s one job was to keep the aquarium’s star orca whale alive.
Spoiler alert: the whale dies.
Her mother, her husband, her boss, the entire world want to know:
Why? How could she?? What is wrong with her??!
Everyone wants answers, but Girl doesn’t wanna give 'em.
What seems like a crisis to everyone else, feels like a new beginning for Girl. As she tries to maintain her new outlook on life, pressure closes in from all sides. Can she move forward, or will she hit her head on the glass?
New Perspectives premieres Meg Schadler’s darkly funny, provocative new play, a strange and unsettling journey into the mind of a woman who’s stopped explaining herself and has no intention of giving people what they expect.
How far would you go to break out of your cage?
