The Sound Of Music
+ More Info +

The widowed, retired Austrian naval officer, Captain Von Trapp, has made his Austrian home overly restrictive with harshly enforced discipline, which, unintentionally, causes his seven children to be deprived of joy and love. Enter Maria, who being unsuccessful in her quest to be a nun, is recommended by the reverend mother to take up the post of governess at the nearby Von Trapp household in Salzburg. A different world for one who is untrained as a governess but through love and understanding, Maria brings joy into the lives of the children. However, the shadow of war hangs over Austria and the Captain has been summoned by the Third Reich to serve in its navy. Unwilling to do so, the family with Maria resolve to leave Austria for the mountains of Switzerland on foot. A story of doubt, love, happiness and growing danger in the face of war. Enjoy with us the well-loved music of ‘Auf Wiedersehn’ ‘Climb Every Mountain’, ‘Edelweiss’ and many more.
