The theatre consists of an 810-seat main auditorium, a studio space directly below (which has a capacity of 150), and The Blake Art Gallery. There are also private function rooms, the Spotlights Café and a bar. The venue was originally known as the Woodville Halls Theatre but was renamed to ‘The Woodville’ in 2013 on account of that being the way it is referred to by Gravesend residents. The outside area to the building (called The Community Square) is a large space is used for community events, including outdoor concerts and plays. The Woodville has a large programme of plays, kids’ shows, comedy and concerts. The venue is proud to present performances, events and exhibitions for the people of Gravesend and for wider visiting audiences.
