Venue information

Situated on Renfield Street in the heart of Glasgow’s Theatreland, the 1,449-capacity Pavilion Theatre is one of the oldest and most iconic theatres in Scotland.

The Pavilion Theatre opened its doors in central Glasgow on the 29th February, 1904. Described as “pure Louis XV” in style, it was designed by Bertie Crewe for Thomas Barrasford’s expanding chain of British Music Halls. Crewe was also responsible for such theatres as London’s Piccadilly Theatre and the Palace Theatre in Manchester.

Since opening, the Pavilion Theatre has been Glasgow’s home for comedy, music, variety, and traditional pantomime for more than a century.
In 2023, the Pavilion Theatre was acquired by Trafalgar Entertainment, a global live entertainment business, ushering in an exciting new era for the iconic venue.
