Kevin Precious: The Reluctant Teacher
From:05-03-2026
To:05-03-2026
+ More Info +

Kevin Precious used to be a teacher. He enjoyed the teaching part; it was the stuff that goes with it that was a drag. So he left.

Determined to get a “Grown Up Career” after years spent as a musician, Kevin trained as a Religious Studies Teacher, despite being an affirmed sceptic and non-believer. Whilst wrangling with disinterested kids in various Secondary Schools in Sussex during the day, Kevin increasingly pursued the business of stand-up comedy at night… inevitably something had to give. The show is a funny overview of the pitfalls and pratfalls that go with Kevin’s former profession of teaching; with a bit of pedagogical stuff (ooh-er) thrown in for good measure.

"Kevin's stage charisma and poise set him head and shoulders above the previous acts" (Times)

What happens when a cinema's Lord of the Rings marathon goes terribly wrong?

At the local cinema, all hell breaks loose when the ushers misplace the DVDs of The Lord of the Rings trilogy – every single copy! With only the soundtracks left in hand, the team of hapless ushers must somehow improvise an entire three-film saga in front of a live audience. Get ready for an uproarious evening of comedy, chaos, and utter nonsense, as they attempt to recreate the epic tale of hobbits, elves, and orcs – without any visuals, any planning, or any clue what they're doing.

Will Frodo ever make it to Mordor? Will Aragorn get crowned king? Will Gollum stop stealing the show? Will anyone even remember who’s supposed to be who?!

It’s a show that’s more fun than a barrel of hobbits, and definitely more chaotic than a Gandalf speech. If you’ve ever wanted to see Gollum fight a battle with sound effects, or Gandalf desperately trying to remember what happens next, then you’re in for a hilarious treat!

Frida Kahlo is a phenomenon. She is arguably the world’s favourite female artist – beloved by young and old. Exhibition on Screen’s award-winning film – first released during covid to a restricted audience - is back by popular demand with an exciting new addition from the blockbuster transatlantic exhibition from Tate Britain and MFA Houston 'Frida Kahlo: the Making of an Icon'. Back in the cinemas in May 2026, one month before the Tate exhibition opens, allowing audiences to watch both the film and see the show.

Who was Frida Kahlo? Everyone knows her face but who was the woman behind the bright colours, the big brows and the floral crowns? Take a journey through the life of a true icon, discover her art, and uncover the true story of her rebellious, passionate and turbulent life.

Making use of the latest technology to deliver previously unimaginable quality, we take an in-depth look at key works throughout her career. Using letters Kahlo wrote to guide us, this definitive film reveals her deepest emotions and unlocks the secrets and symbolism contained within her art.

Exhibition on Screen’s trademark combination of interviews with those who knew her and world experts, commentary and a detailed exploration of her art, combined with new special bonus footage from the 2026 Tate exhibition, delivers a treasure trove of colour and emotion. This personal and intimate film offers privileged access to her works, her home, her studio and highlights the source of her feverish creativity, her resilience and her unmatched lust for life, beauty and revolution.

Created in close collaboration with world experts and those who knew her.

Post each SMOKE performance, YAL will host a specially curated forty-five minute panel, unique to each town and city on the tour, involving local LGBTQ+ figures, exploring how SMOKE’s themes crossover with YAL’s work, in mobilising the community to get better at talking, sharing and supporting each other.

Nonetheless, this quirky family still has to deal with many of the same challenges faced by any other family, and the spookiest nightmare faced by every family creates the focus Lippa, Brickman, and Elice’s musical: the Addams kids are growing up.

The Addamses have lived by their unique values for hundreds of years and Gomez and Morticia, the patriarch and matriarch of the clan, would be only too happy to continue living that way. Their dark, macabre, beloved daughter Wednesday, however, is now an eighteen year-old young woman who is ready for a life of her own.
